This course has been prepared as a contribution to higher formation and the training of professionals in the identification, study and evaluation of threats, vulnerability and risks of natural and man-made origin; the management of hazardous or emergency situations as a multidisciplinary exercise, taking account of technical, social, economic and cultural aspects; the analysis of policy and the management of the processes of rehabilitation, reconstruction and development of zones or communities exposed or affected; and finally, the definition of prevention programs for the mitigation and reduction of risk, and to deal with possible disasters.
